Quick Tips
As a general rule, unless stated otherwise, home decorator products are recommended to be dry cleaned. This does not mean they will not wash well... It just means to wash at your own risk. If you intend to wash an item after it has been made, we strongly encourage you to test a small piece first to make sure it is suitable for washing; and if you are satisfied with the result, then proceed with washing the entire yardage. Also remember to wash the product in the same manner you will wash the project afterwards (i.e. Do not wash in a warmer temp. after your project has been made and do not dry in dryer if the initial yardage was not dried in dryer).- 100% Cotton - Expect quite a bit of shrinkage and wrinkling to occur if washing 100% cotton products. And when dealing with home decor printed material, the print will sometimes fade. **We highly recommend 100% cotton materials be dry cleaned.
- 100% Polyester - Polyester products are normally ideal for washing. There should be little to no shrinkage or wrinkling. However, unless stated as washable, we still encourage washing a test piece first. Also, if there is a sheen to your fabric... It may diminish slightly after each wash. Please take this into consideration.
- Poly/Cotton Blends - Polyester and cotton blended materials can usually be washed, however, you may experience slight shrinkage and wrinkling. The rule still applies to test a small piece, and then, if satisfied, wash the entire yardage before making your project. The shiny material rule applies here too... If there is a sheen to your fabric, it may diminish slightly after each wash. Please take this into consideration.
- 100% Silk - Silks can be either hand washed and air dried or dry cleaned.

And per our Return Policy: Returns are not accepted if washed or cut... So if it is vital that your material is washable, we recommend ordering a SAMPLE for your pre-wash test.

Fabric does not drape well - New manufacturer?
I have used this fabric in a different color to make many drapes. I sew professionally so am very familiar with fabric. I ordered a sample of the white fabric and it was the same as what I had used before in the beige color. However, the fabric I received in my order is different. Since ithe fabric was out of stock and I had to wait for it to be restocked, I wonder if it's from a different manufacturer or if their process has changed. If you're looking for something that drapes nicely, this isn't it. Very disappointed that the order I received is different from the sample. It doesn't look much different except the sample was more sheer and light weight and would have draped very nicely. The fabric received is heavier and much more shiny and tightly woven.

Gorgeous Fabric!
This fabric is absolutely beautiful and drapes perfectly. The fact that it is 108” wide makes it a perfect fabric for semi-sheer drapes that don’t need to be vertically seamed to get asmuch fullness as desired. I had the Best Fabric Store make 4 pair of drapes and they arrived in perfect condition and ready to hang. The drapery hooks were even installed so that when I hung the drapes, the were the exact length that I had specified. And any wrinkles due to packaging fell completely away as soon as the drapes were hung. The fabric has a very subtle sheen that makes it truly elegant and very expensive looking. And the quality of the workmanship of the drapes fabricated by this workroom was absolutely outstanding. I will definitely use this workroom for all future window treatments.

Best Drape Ever
I’ve uaed this fabric for customers about half a dozen times now and it is perfect with gorgeous draping. Lined or unlined, it’s the best sheer I’ve found.

Spectacular
This material, in the hands of a skilled/experienced seamstress, created stunningly beautiful panels (for a floor to ceiling, beachfront condo bedroom window/door). The drape is and remains perfect, even in humid conditions. It is semi-sheer to sheer, with a reflective sheen that is bright and absolutely gorgeous. I also received outstanding customer service.

Beautiful draping material
I purchased this for sheers on my lanai so, when gathered, it would filter out the afternoon sun. It does the job beautifully. It's soft and gathers/drapes well. I chose white because it has such a crisp and clean look.

Fabric Order Success!
I love the simplicity of this fabric. It's not quite as sheer as I had hoped but there is a slight level of translucency. It also has a slight sheen that is not apparent in the images online. All in all, my drapes look great.

lovely sheen with a country feel
This material ia all I expected after receiving the sample .It has a lovely drape and i am making cuttains without any major difficulties. My 2 yard piece was cut generously but so off grain( I pull a threads to cut lengths to make sure the curtains hang evenly) that over 8 inches was lost in straightening it and I ended up minus one inch of material e.g.2yards minus 1 inch of usuable material. So do buy it it's lovely but buy a little extra to allow for uneven cutting.
