Fold-up shopping bag

I have this fear that one day all of the plastic bags in my garage will rain down upon me and smother me to death. What can I possibly do with all of those bags? So, I try my best to use reusable bags instead. When I go to the grocery store, I remember them. But for some reason, when I go into any other store, I don’t. That’s why I like to have a fold-up bag in my purse.

This bag is easy to make. You may notice my handles are slightly different from the original pattern’s. That’s because I didn’t read the directions very well took creative liberty and changed it up. It still works just as well.

I found this free project at Crafty Ady.

How to fold it

Lay if flat with the snap side down. Fold over one third of the bag toward the center.
Fold the other side of the bag toward center. Fold the handles down (this reveals the flap on the other side) and the bottom up.
Continue to fold the bottom upwards (I did three folds) and snap into place.
