The Classic Shirt

After being pregnant for what seemed like 2 years and then having a lovely postpartum belly, I was anxious to get back to making clothing. One pattern company I really like is Favorite Things. It’s a small business with really cute designs. I always like the idea of button-up shirts but I never seem to really like them on me. I decided to give this one a whirl, and I really do like it. The bell sleeves and gathering are cute style details and the shirt has a nice fit without being too tight, which I definitely need right now.

How ’bout that? A hat!

From time to time, I like to write about a sewing project that you might not think of when you think of home decorator fabrics. So how about a hat? I bet that no matter what kind of sewing you do, you probably haven’t considered a hat. Poor hats. Nobody really wears them anymore.
