Fabric Used

Dorothee Ebony Cornices

I saw on Pinterest a woman had made a cornice/pelmet for her windows. She said it was an EASY project that only took her about 20 minutes per window. She used fabric, foam core, low loft batting, fabric glue, and duct tape. I've been wanting to do something to update my kitchen. My appliances are black so I wanted a fabric with a little black in it. I found and ordered the Dorothee Ebony fabric. I took foam core and duct tape pieces together to get the length I needed. Using an Xacto knife I scored the foam core and bent it to make a 3 sided box and reinforced it with duct tape. Wrapped it with batting and the fabric and glued it with fabric glue on the back side. It took me a lot longer than 20 minutes, as the woman on Pinterest, but I am happy the way they turned out!
