I made this queen size bedding and upholstered headboard with nail head trim for one of our guest bedrooms. Pencil pleats set in by hand created a more pleasing look to me than gathers for the skirt of the spread. My husband cut 3/4" plywood to measure 63" wide by 48" tall, then trimmed the corners to create the rounded detail on each side. Three layers of high loft batting were used under the upholstery fabric. The nail head trim comes on a roll and is quite easy to work with.
