    VIBRANT colors !!!

This fabric turned out to be brighter, bolder and far more saturated than it appears on my laptop. When you look at the enlarged view and you don't see a very kelly green and a bold dark yellow as the border for the medallions and bright creamy white as the field in the center design, you can know your monitor isn't displaying it true to life. I ordered only 1 yard as a swatch as I was thinking (!?!?!) of making drapes out of it. So I was planning on making a couple throw pillows, knowing that if it didn't work in the family room, it would work in the bedroom's turquoise comforter. Too bright for both of those. A little goes a long way on this one. I am trying to decide if will work out as the cover for the seat on a ladderback chair I've just re-finished. The way the medallions are situated, the pattern isn't symmetrical and I have to decide if that's going to bother me and do I want to show more of the light or the dark medallions. I can't see a good place to cut it for placemats or something small like that. I may return it since it will fit in a regular clasp envelope and mail it for less than $2. I received a generous 43" cut. The fabric itself is a nice tightly woven sateen with a soft hand. 15 colors in this print. Because I was trying to determine if the surprisingly bright color was my monitor or the online image, I gave this fabric close scrutiny and noticed that there was dye overshoot with the bright blue overlapping an adjacent area. I think the only way I'd notice it otherwise is if I happened to be top stitching a quilt or something in that area of the medallion.
