    Very nice

Nice sheeting for the back of a jean quilt, not to heavy or to light, have plenty left for other projects

    Good price, tight weave

I used Navy 90" sheeting as lining for some Metro Linen Blue curtains I made for a friends' trailer renovation. (See my review on that page.) Our friends' number one concern was privacy, and this sheeting was very tightly-woven so a very good lining for improving opacity of the curtains. It was much more "sized" than I expected in a sheeting, so it reminded me more of chintz (not what I was expecting). The finish was very attractive, however; and for a spot-cleaned use (like mine was) I think that it would give a very nice chintz crispness and sheen. The grain on this fabric was a little bit all over the place, so I was not able to tear it on the grain for even rectangles (it was too sized to re-stretch it to square if it wasn't). However, the grain was so tight, it was very hard to see anywhere that the grain was slightly off. Unwashed, it handled nicely, though hard creases that it had from the roll were VERY hard to iron out. Lots of steam and a little spray did the trick, but it took some patience. The width and quality of the fabric weave make it a great deal for the price, especially for big projects! I will have to wash some of my remnants to see how it handles once some of the sizing is gone. I would definitely buy this again for a similar project.
