Insulated Hot Pad/Trivet

Hi there and happy weekend! It’s Mandie again with a quick tutorial that will likely come in handy with all of the baking you’re doing lately, right? Now that it’s October and there’s a hint of cool in the air, I can’t help but make all the pumpkin things…ever! I went to Trader Joe’s yesterday and had a hard time leaving anything pumpkin behind! Anyway, I thought I’d share how I make hot pads, in case you’re in need of some new ones. I had a bit of fabric left over from my table runner, so I figured I’d use…

Fussy cut pillow cover

According to The Nerdy Sewist, fussy cutting is described as cutting a detail or particular piece of a pattern from the fabric, as opposed to just cutting a strip from the fold to the selvedge. I kind of  love fussy cutting, and am happy to share my latest fussy cut project with you: A pillow cover (another of my favorite type of project).  Supplies you’ll need:   Set Sail Anchor & Vintage Linen Wheat, approximately 1/4 to 1/3 yd each, depending on your desired size. I made a 14″ pillow cover.

No-sew Wall Art

Happy weekend! The project I’m sharing with you today is a fun one. It doesn’t even involve your sewing machine! I’m going to share the simple steps to covering a wrapped canvas with fabric to make a unique piece of wall art. It’s quick and simple- once all your supplies are gathered, it could be hanging on your wall in 30 minutes!

Reversible Fabric Coasters

Hi there! It’s Mandie. I’ll be taking over for Robyn on the blog and I’m quite excited to share some fun projects with you! This week, I thought I’d share something simple, yet totally functional- coasters! I chose the Manna Kiwi for this because I wanted to make these reversible, and I just loved that both sides are similar, but different colors.
