Reupholstering a Free Chair

My husband and I were given a chair when we moved into our new home that was not very pretty. The early 80s color palette did not really fit with our contemporary yet rustic home. The dogs obviously agreed and slowly chewed the fabric off the chair bit by bit (we quickly purchased a crate after this). Here is a picture of the chair so far using the Begonia Elephant fabric. The fabric itself it wonderful. I not only love the look of it but it is also very durable and easy to work with. This was my first upholstery job and I found it to be very helpful. I just need to buy a few more yards to finish it off.

Brand new life to a very sad chair!

You really did breathe new life into a chair whose days were numbered! I love the fabric you chose and think you got the scale just right--not an easy feat. I am so impressed with the quality of your work! Are you sure this is your first attempt at upholstery? How in the world did you get the arm section so snug where it meets the side panel? It fits like a glove! So, kudos to you all around!
