November’s $50 gift certificate giveaway

It’s time for our monthly $50 gift certificate giveaway. Are you ready to decorate for the holidays and set beautiful tables for family dinners? Check out some of our holiday projects: A luxe Christmas tree skirt; funkified stockings; and a Christmas card holder.

Here are some beautiful fabrics that are perfect for the holiday season.

Now that you’re inspired, how about $50 to make your purchase with?

Entering is simple: just leave comments below. But there are a few rules, so please read carefully. ENTER SEPARATE COMMENTS FOR EACH OPTION (A, B and C), PLEASE! Each comment will count as “one” when I draw a random number. The comments are numbered, so you’ll want them to be separate to increase your chances.

You can get multiple entries by doing the following:

A) Mandatory entry: Provide a link to a product you’re interested in at Warehouse Fabrics Inc.

B) 1 bonus entry: Tell us how you decorate for the holidays, whatever it is that you celebrate. Do you do all-out tacky, just a touch or not much of anything? Do you have any sewing plans?

***OK, I’ll tell you. My house is embarrassingly tacky at Christmas. My husband is obsessed with decorations and thinks that the more the better. It doesn’t matter if they don’t go together. Every surface is packed with them. I did win the battle of not having them cover the kitchen counters since we need those. But this year we have a curious and destructive toddler and I might have a case for going easy on the decorating.***

C) 1 bonus entry: Post a picture of something you have made with our fabric on our website gallery. It may be just 1 bonus entry, but in addition to that, you will also earn separate rewards through the website for doing this. You can get 10% off an online order for each project you post a photo of. Please visit this blog post for all the details. In your comment here, please post the title and category of your gallery photo. (The photos may not be immediately viewable upon posting.)

The winner will be drawn randomly. Please note: The winner has 48 hours to reply to the email before a new name is drawn, so please check your email. I also announce the winner on this blog, our Twitter account and our Facebook page.

Name will be announced in a blog post later this week. Drawing will close Thursday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. MDT.

Fine print: The winner’s name (or business name), city and state may be used by Warehouse Fabrics Inc. for promotional purposes. Please see the F.A.Q. page for more contest details.

  1. I decorate sparingly for the holiday in which I don’t do a lot of themed holiday trinkets and such throughout the home but I do fix all my bedrooms with the colors of each holiday. All my linens, tablecloths, curtains, and bedspreads are of holiday colors.

  2. I love my huge tree, the snowmen, etc. While I do not overdo I like to have my little village set up with the train running through it. Usually this is put under the big tree.
I also love the fall colors…If /i could get away with it, I would keep my tree up all year and decorate to the seasons!
    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  3. I enjoy making skirts and dresses for Christmas dressup.. I also enjoy making baby blankets and have used minky on many occasion to create the softness a mother and baby enjoy.

  4. I posted a pic of pillows I have made.. It is listed under Home Decor and is titled Traditions pillow.. 🙂

  5. I don’t decorate a lot. I have stockings that I have made for my two daughters and their families. My tree is not huge, but is decorated with mostly handmade ornaments. I have a few misc. decorations that I put out.

  6. When I go under the Traditional Fabrics tab I find myself lost in a world of fantasy! I could redo my entire house from this section alone. It has something for every room.

  7. I decorate with reds and golds in my kitchen and dining room. Last year, I found myself creating a very woodsy natural and white Christmas in my living room, with acorn and pine cone ornaments in browns and coppers. I added burlaps and natural greenery with some muted tones of red berries. I was so in love with it, I had a hard time taking it down, so I can hardly wait for Christmas. This year, I’m going to be using some of your upholstery fabrics to make matching Christmas stockings. Coppers, browns, deep reds. Oh, Christmas!

  8. We usually visit family during the holidays and don’t decorate much. But this year, they are visiting us so there will be a tree, mistletoe, stockings, the works! I can’t wait!

  9. I know I keep talking about this same fabric! Sorry, but I love it. I want to make dining room drapes for myself but having trouble finding the time. Maybe over the holiday I can do it. First I better get a sample and make sure it works in my room.

The $50 gift certificate would be a great help.

  10. I try to make a new tree skirt every couple of years. Seeing all the holiday fabrics gets me in the mood.

  11. I’ve always decorated with light blue, silver, and a touch of red for Christmas. However, we’ve remodelled since last christmas and that might not go with my decor. I may have to make some changes once I drag everythin out of storage!

  12. We moved into a very old house – some rooms you don’t want to even be in. I have been working on some rooms over the years and finally have my kitchen/dining and large bath/laundry done (90%). I am getting ready to start on the old living room. I would like to decorate for Christmas – more than the minimal (or none) that I have in the past 10 years. I have five old, long windows in the living room and want to dress them up with the Christmas tree centered in front to the set of three. I have diverse taste, so I suppose it depends on what I can pull from storage and put together.

Last year I ordered 30 yards of Hampstead Ebony {Item no.: HADEBY} from you to make some kind of window treatments. I’ve had too many other projects to tackle. It’s time I get the walls painted and the treatments done! Just in time for Christmas!

Thank you for the extra entry!

  13. Decorating for Christmas around my house consists of an average amount of Christmas decor. I have to have a REAL tree, and it must be a frasier fir for the perfect Christmas smell with a very comfy tree skirt underneath for the two kitties that I think love the Christmas tree more than I do. 🙂 I don’t have any Christmas sewing planned, but I do plan on using my 2 weeks off of work to sew some new winter clothes!!

  14. My house for the past few years was just sad at Christmas. Health problems didn’t allow me to decorate or bake as I used to every year. This year I am VERY much hoping it will once again look like a winter wonderland in my home. My awesome husband surprised me last year and bought this gorgeous purple Christmas tree for me so I need to get busy making purple Christmas things to match my awesome tree now. I have always been one to not want anything to do with a fake tree but that gorgeous purple one spotted at a local store quickly changed my mind. lol He bought it right off their floor too since they didn’t have any in stock and he wanted to surprise me after I was practically drooling as we walked past and saying under my breath “I want that tree honeyyyyyyyyyyyyy” HAHA

Acutally my 2nd choice of fabric is the new LSU Purple you have in stock now http://warehousefabricsinc.com/LSUPUD.html since that would be perfect for part of a tree skirt.

  15. I decorate with little touches around the house that invoke the spirit of the holiday. I try to keep it balanced and beautiful!
