Hello there! I hope your Thanksgiving weekend has been restful! We’ve had the darn stomach flu going around in our home, so my weekend actually has been restful, though not exactly the way I’d have chosen. Speaking of rest(kindof), I’d like to share my latest project with you- euro shams! I bought a grey quilt a few years ago & really love it, but was in serious need of something to dress it up a bit.
Hi there! I’m back with another napkin project, as promised! I thought it would be fun to add a little trim to a simple napkin. Now, the combination I’ve chosen is a bit ‘loud’, but you could certainly find a more subtle combo.
We’re going to talk napkins for the next few weeks, ok? I’m in the middle of planning for my daughter’s first birthday party, and the holidays are quickly approaching, too, so I figure we should think about table linens, right? This week, I’ll share a fairly simple project that has a lot of wow potential: cloth cocktail napkins. Now, the construction of the napkins is pretty similar to the reversible fabric coaster I shared a few months ago- you just skip the batting.

Do you ever use the fun stitches on your sewing machine? Or do you only use a straight stitch? For so long, I’ve been guilty of only using my straight stitch with an occasional zig zag for knits, or for finishing a raw edge, but I’m trying to walk more on the wild side (ha!) and have been doing a bit of experimenting with some of those lesser appreciated stitches that came on my sewing machine. Fortunately, this is a quick project that utilizes a fun stitch plus you’re left with a lovely finished product. Are you in?

Hi there! Today I’d like to share a technique with you that I recently tried out for myself after admiring for a while- freehand machine embroidery. I think it’s just lovely. I’ve owned a cute zipper pouch from this etsy shop for over a year this week I finally decided to try it for myself. Now, if you google freehand machine embroidery, here are the images you’ll find. It seems that a lot of it is a combination of embroidery and applique. For now, I choose embroidery to share with- maybe I’ll try out some free hand applique, next!
Hi there! Today I’m going to show you my newest pillow! I know, I know- another pillow! I thought I was done for a while, too, but then I started looking at pom poms & just couldn’t help myself! I saw a monotone pillow similar to this a while back & loved the concept, but thought it might be fun to go bold!
Hello again! I’m back with a new tutorial, but this time, it’s for you, not your home! I don’t know about you, but I love to have a sassy little clutch to take with me on a date. I have a baby, so I can count on one hand the amount of dates I’ve been on this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have one & go out and have fun!
